Yarn production increased in Q2/18
Global yarn production increased by +5per cent between Q1/18 and Q2/18. Higher output where observed in Egypt (+1.4per cent), the U.S.A. (+3.2 per cent), South Africa (+3.3 per cent), and globally in Asia where the overall +5.7per cent increase was led by Chinese Taipei and Korea, Rep. (respective growth rates of +8.1per cent and +8.8).
Global yarn & fabric production falls in Q3/17
Global yarn production decreased by -0.4 per cent between Q2/17 and Q3/17. An output reduction of respectively -3 per cent and -0.5 per cent in Europe and Asia have been balanced at the world level by increases of 0.5 per cent in Africa, 4.8 per cent in the USA, and 6.5 per cent in Brazil.
Global fabric output declines in Q1/2017
Global fabric production declined in Q12016 against Q42016 due to decreases in Asia, South America and in Europe. The global yarn production improved in Q1/2017 quarter-on-quarter (QoQ).

Global yarn & fabric output up in Q1/2015
Global yarn production fell in Q1/2015 compared to the previous quarter. Thereby, yarn output in Asia and in Europe fell, while it increased in North America. On an annual basis, the global yarn production decreased the second quarter in a row. Declines were strongest in Asia and Europe, while North America saw a modest increase. Worldwide yarn stocks rose in Q1/2015 in comparison to Q4/2014.
