Italian texmach: Orders intake drops in 2Q2020
The index of orders intake for Italian textile machinery, as compiled by ACIMIT, fell by 47 per cent for the period April-June 2020, compared to the same period in 2019, with orders falling both abroad and in Italy.

Cematex elects permanent Secretary General
A new Secretary General has been chosen by Cematex, the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers. Cornelia Buchwalder has served on an interim basis since June 2019, following the retirement of Maria Avery, and was elected to the permanent position by the Cematex Board on March 12.
Christian Guinet heads UCMTF
At last ITMA in Barcelona, the French Textile Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (UCMTF in French) announced the appointment of Christian Guinet as Secretary General. On September 1, he took over from Evelyne Cholet, who had decided to retire.
