Euratex presents Covid-19 recovery strategy
Euratex, the European Apparel and Textile Confederation, has come up with a strategy for the future that is supposed to turn the current coronavirus crisis into an opportunity. Part of the strategy, which was endorsed by the last general assembly, is for the industry to become “more digital, sustainable and agile” and five flagship initiatives have been identified in critical areas.
Govt signs MoUs worth Rs 455 cr at textile conclave
The one-day Punjab Apparel and Textile Conclave proved to be beneficial for boosting investment in the state, as the government signed pacts worth Rs 455.34 crore, Minister for Industries Sunder Sham Arora said. During the conclave, organised in Ludhiana, MoUs worth Rs 455.34 crore were signed between the state government and nine prominent industries, Arora added.
Versatile machines from Dornier
DORNIER will be represented at the ITM textile machinery trade fair from April 14 - 17 in Istanbul. Besides denim, wool and carpets, in Turkey the machine builder‘s weaving machines are also used to produce technical textiles.

Indian textile cos to promote Brand India
The Federation of Indian Exporters’ Organisation (FIEO) has called for exploring UAE platform for re-exports to western world, while advising Indian textile companies to promote ‘Brand India’ in overseas markets. Vipul, Consul General of India, Dubai, said Indian textile companies should explore Dubai platform to boost their business volumes.
EURATEX new chief vows more actions
Klaus Huneke has taken over as the President of the European Apparel and Textile Federation (EURATEX) with effect from January 2017 for a two-year term. Huneke, succeeding Sege Piolat who headed EURATEX during the last two years, pointed out: “Serge Piolat achieved impressive results in strengthening the voice of the European textile and clothing industry.
