Rieter's order intake grows by 16%
Rieter’s growth in order intake in the Asian countries (excluding China, India and Turkey) was pleasing.
The Rieter Group achieved an order intake of CHF 1 051.5 million in the 2017 financial year. This represents an increase of 16 per cent compared to the previous year (+ CHF 146.3 million). Thus, the upturn seen in the first half of 2017 continued. Sales totaled CHF 965.6 million, up 2 per cent on the previous year (2016: CHF 945.0 million). The full annual financial statements and the 2017 Annual Report will be published by Rieter on March 13, 2018.

Weaving quality filament yarn fabrics
The weaving of filament yarns calls for a greater amount of skill and dexterity on the part of the operatives and supervisors. Many drastic changes in operating conditions and procedures and even modifications of equipment are sometimes necessary to weave these yarns. A high level of regularity along their length, the lustre and lie of filaments give the fabrics made from these yarns a sheer surface, which shows up the defects radially.
Rieter Test & Training Centre at D.K.T.E.
On April 6, 2015, the inauguration ceremony of the Rieter Test & Training Centre was held at the DKTE Society´s Textile and Engineering Institute in Ichalkaranji, India.
