So it is obvious that ‘TEXFAIR-2016’ is going to be an extra mileage and a landmark to be remembered with by the textile fraternity. While, amidst the felicitation, let me share a few thoughts with you on the present scenario of the textile industry.
Coimbatore, known as the textile hub of Tamil Nadu, houses a large number of small, medium and large textile mills. It also has textile research institutes like the Central Institute for Cotton Research (CICR), South Indian Textiles Research Association (SITRA) and the Sardar Vallabhai Patel International School of Textiles and Management.

WUXI compact system to raise productivity
´We are basically a high research-based company. We have developed a compact system that can improve the productivity in spinning tremendously. The productivity can go up by up to 30 per cent. The payback for this system is only 13 months. We have already many installations in Pakistan and Turkey,´ said Jackson Xie, Market and Sales Manager of WUXI Universal First Precision Technology Co Ltd (UFP), China, which has a tie-up with Chiven Spinning, Coimbatore.
