Easy Nonwoven 4.0: Data mining for economic & technical simulation of nonwoven cards
The aim of the project “Easy Nonwoven 4.0” was to increase the quality accuracy and the economic efficiency of the carding machine as a central, quality-relevant and highly complex machine in a carding web line using optical inspection technology and the aggregation of all relevant measurement data, say Cloppenburg F, Schlichter S and Gries T of the Institut for Textile Technology of RWTH Aachen.

Oerlikon has acquired Germany-based AC-Automation GmbH & Co KG, an engineering company specialising in large-scale plant automation solutions for textile and packaging industries.
