Positive market outlook in man-made fibres
Oerlikon order intake declined by 17.3 per cent year-over-year to CHF 518 million and Group sales decreased by 6.4 per cent to CHF 593 million, partly due to adverse currency movements.
Oerlikon, AC-Automation integration completed
Oerlikon has acquired Germany-based AC-Automation GmbH & Co KG, an engineering company specialising in large-scale plant automation solutions for textile and packaging industries. The two companies have been partnering since the early 1980s. The integration of AC-Automation in Oerlikon expands the market-leading technology portfolio of its Manmade Fibers Segment. It also marks a milestone in Oerlikon’s ongoing quest to offer innovative, fully automated and digitally networked Industry solutions in the manmade fibre (MMF) industry.
Double-digit profitability in Oerlikon's MMF segment
The Manmade Fibres Segment of Oerlikon captured a significant share of the business in the filament equipment market, where a high level of demand prevailed, particularly in China.

Closer to customers in US
The Segment Manmade Fibers of the Swiss Technology group Oerlikon will be opening an additional service centre in Dalton, Georgia, the heart of the American carpet industry. The official opening will take place on August 13, 2015. ´

The 10th anniversary of the Annual Meeting of China Textile Round-Table Forum, again sponsored by Oerlikon Manmade Fibers, was held on January 31, 2015 in Beijing Capital Hotel. Ten years have pastsed since Oerlikon Manmade Fiber first sponsored this high-end forum. China Textile Round-Table Forum is organised by CNTAC and hosted by the China Textile Economy Research Center and News Center of CNTA.
