The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC), one of the oldest export promotion councils in India, recently gave away export awards in a function held on January 27, 2018 in Mumbai. MMF: Daring to fly higher!
For the man-made fibre industry (MMF) in India, its disgruntlement is turning into unceasing aggression. The reasons are many: China exports 65 per cent of manmade textiles out of its exports of $650 billion while India´s share of manmade textiles is hardly 20 per cent out of its exports of $40 billion.

MMF holds huge scope for growth
India is the second largest producer of man-made fibres (MMF) in the world with presence of large plants having state-of-the art technology. MMF textiles constitute almost two-third of the domestic textile market. However, India´s share in global exports of value -added textiles of MMF is miniscule.
