DEPB Scheme extension is a positive step: SRTEPC chief

Mr Ganesh Kumar Gupta, Chairman of The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC), has welcomed the extension of the DEPB scheme till June 30, 2011 in the Annual Supplement to the Foreign Trade Policy – 2009-14, announced by the Government on August 23, 2010 and termed it as a positive step, as the exporters can now take a long-term perspective, while negotiating export business.

EU clothing imports fall for first time in over 10 years
